Darren Moffatt, Seattle Humane Volunteer
Darren became a supporter of Seattle Humane eight years ago when he adopted his first cat, Kait, from the shelter. Since then, he has added two more Seattle Humane alumns to his family, cats Luna and Chrono. An engineer at Microsoft, Darren has been an advocate for workplace giving in support of Seattle Humane, and Microsoft continues to be our largest employee-driven contributor. In 2017, Darren started volunteering with the Vet Services team and we look forward to seeing him back in the clinic when we are able to safely open our shelter doors to volunteers again.
Keynote Speakers
Novia Liu and Ava Finn
Novia Liu and Ava Finn first met in the Humane Teen Club (HTC) and worked together as interns in Seattle Humane’s Adoption department. They joined forces to launch a petition targeting puppy and kitten mills as part of their HTC project in 2018. Now seniors in high school, the two have moved their fight to Olympia where they’re working for passage of the Humane Pet Sales Bill.
